The safety posters that we have around our warehouse is to remind people to always practice safety measures. Despite the fact that I might not be able to look after everyone, I feel that it is essential for me to do whatever I can in order to protect my workers. It is less of a liability issue on my part when people can remember that this is a workplace, and that they have to conduct themselves accordingly. I am happy that there hasn’t been an incident yet, and I plan to keep it that way. The posters are easily seen from far away as well. I think that its purpose is to serve as a reminder for all that an accident can happen from a simple careless move. People need to be aware of the steps they take around here. I don’t want any of my workers to get hurt.

The September event, entitled “10 Insights for Creating Authentic Brand Personality through PR” will take place September 15, 2011 at Maggiano’s located at 3368 Northeast Peachtree Road in Atlanta. The event starts at 9:30 in the morning with a pre-luncheon seminar entitled “Branding, Take it Personal” Following that, lunch will be served starting at 11:30 and will coincide with the keynote speaker at noon.
The speaker this month will focus on the benefits of creating a more humanized brand. The speech will revolve around ways to always think about people and your customers when advertising and marketing a specific message. According to a press release about the event, ” People aren’t just buying a product or service, they’re buying ‘into’ a positive experience.” Many brands are leveraging consumer engagement to help build authentic brand personalities. Others, however, struggle with sharing brand ownership, which is essential for connecting with today’s consumers.”

My daughter has decided to go to France. It is through a student exchange program. She will go to France for a few months, and my husband and I will be hosting a student in our home. If the hosting go well, maybe we will do it again. My husband and I got her a bunch of French sorts of things, like a dictionary and English French Calendars. She speaks French really well, but we wanted to do it just in case. She has taken French classes since sixth grade. Then, she made a friend who used to live in France. She would speak in French with their family. My husband and I know absolutely zero French. We are extremely impressed. We know she will be great on this program, but we will miss her so much! We are not sure how we are going to be without her home for so long, but I guess this will prepare us for her college years!
