If you have watched the Twilight film series, you may be familiar with the Cullen Crest. The Cullen Crest was never mentioned in the books. In the films, however, each family member is seen wearing the Cullen Crest. There are reasons why the Cullens wear a crest. The crest symbolizes their relationship as a family, as well as their loyalty to each other. The crest’s parts represent different meanings. At the center of the crest is a lion that stands for the vampires’ characteristics of strength and ferocity. The hand on top of the lion represents the Cullens’ faith and sincerity towards each other. At the bottom of the crest are three trefoil leaves that signify perpetuity. Vampires have the inability to die the natural way. In the film series, everyone in the Cullens wears the crest in different forms. Emmet, Jasper and Edward wear leather bracelets, Rosalie has a big pendant necklace, Alice wears a choker and a bracelet, Esme has a bracelet, while Bella and Carlisle both wear rings.
